Myers Briggs Type Indicator ®
The Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) is a tool to help you understand yourself and how you might differ from other people. Based on the work of Swiss psychiatrist and psychologist Carl Jung, it was developed by Isabel Briggs Myers and her mother Katharine Cook Briggs. Over 50 years of research have gone into the ongoing development of the instrument, and it is now one of the most widely used personality instruments in the world.
One of the most powerful aspects of the MBTI is in helping you to understand how you process information and make decisions based on that information, and how you orient yourself in terms of re-energising and lifestyle. Once you understand yourself and the ways other people do these processes, you can understand where you differ to other people. A non-judgemental instrument, the MBTI promotes understanding and acceptance, and often helps to bridge differences so you can interact with others more effectively.
